Borgetti on the mend
Friday 23 June 2006
Read Bill Borrows every day during the World Cup on 4thegame - you know it makes sense!

Jared Borgetti is winning his race to recover from a thigh injury in time to play in Mexico's World Cup second round clash against Argentina on Saturday.
Mexico's frontline looked lightweight in the Group D games against Angola and Portugal without the Bolton Wanderers striker and coach Ricardo La Volpe is desperate for him to start in Leipzig.
Team spokesman Guillermo Cantu said: "I see he (Borgetti) is quite well, and improving day by day.
"I cannot say he is 100 per cent fit and cured because it is the player who has the last word in this kind of thing.
"The player himself is the best doctor and he is aware of when he is fully fit to play."
Mexico will definitely be without Luis Perez, who is suspended following his sending off in the 2-1 defeat by Portugal.
