Italy defender Fabio Grosso says he is not to blame for the furore that surrounded the Azzurri's controversial 1-0 victory against Australia on Monday.
Grosso won a stoppage-time penalty for Marcello Lippi's side when he appeared to trip over Lucas Neill who was already on the floor.
The Socceroos were furious when referee Luis Medina Cantalejo awarded the penalty and Francesco Totti duly slotted home the spot-kick to ensure Italy would play Ukraine in the quarter-finals.
"I haven't watched the replay yet," said the 29-year-old Palermo left-back. "I tried to avoid contact.
"I got past one defender but then my leg got stuck in between the other defender's legs and I had no option but to go down. My aim was to go all the way.
"We must remain concentrated for our next game. We struggled against a difficult opponent and we are delighted to have reached the last eight but we must continue to work."
