Wanchope wins World Cup chance

Former Derby County and Manchester City striker Paulo Wanchope has been included in Costa Rica's provisional 28-man squad for this summer's World Cup Finals in Germany.

However, coach Alexandre Guimaraes has surprisingly omitted Lokomotiv Moscow forward Winston Parks from his squad.

Costa Rica have been placed in Group A and face hosts Germany, Poland and Ecuador as they attempt to reach the last 16 of the competition.
