Ecuador striker Agustin Delgado has announced his retirement from international football.
The 31-year-old is his country's record goalscorer with 31 strikes in 71 appearances, but Delgado has now decided to call time on his career with the Tricolor.
He told El Mercurio: "Personally, I'm not thinking about bouncing back in 2010, because against England I played my last match for the national team.
"I feel I've achieved my goals. I know people in my country don't think so and they have asked me to go on, but my decision is taken - I'll quit the national team.
"Ecuador have good players for the future. It all depends on my country continuing to do things in this way, with seriousness.
"I think we had the players and the ability to progress further, but it's like this and we have to come back home.
"We would have needed more luck and a bit more audacity, we should have had less fear of taking risks."
