The Portuguese Football Federation have played down reports that coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is being lined up to take charge of England after the World Cup finals in Germany.
Intense media speculation suggests that Scolari is the man to succeed Sven-Goran Eriksson, but the FPF say they know nothing of any possible agreement.
FPF press officer Felipe Felix commented: "The FPF and Luiz Felipe Scolari are committed to not feeding this sort of speculation.
"We have decided to talk about this issue only after the World Cup. Both parties are in agreement about the contract issue.
"This issue doesn't bother us because in the last 12 months or more Luiz Felipe Scolari has been linked to several clubs and national teams.
"The truth is that he is our national head coach."
Scolari's contract with the Portugal national team runs out in the summer.
