Germany midfielder Torsten Frings may yet face action from FIFA over the fracas that followed the hosts' quarter-final penalty shootout win over Argentina.
Frings is reportedly seen on TV footage aiming a blow at Argentinian striker Julio Cruz and FIFA will make a decision on any disciplinary action on Monday.
FIFA spokesperson Markus Siegler told the German press: "After viewing new TV footage, the FIFA disciplinary committee has noted that it is highly probable that Frings was actively involved."
Siegler had earlier stated: "No German players will be sanctioned, but a further assessment is being made with regard to officials of both teams."
Frings had defended his conduct, telling the newspaper Syker Kreiszeitung: "I was within a bunch of players with a lot of hands flying around.
"To protect myself, I stretched my hands to the front, nothing more."
