Coach Karel Bruckner has been handed a two-year extension to his contract despite the Czech Republic's disappointing World Cup campaign.
The 66-year-old has been in charge of the national team since 2002, but it was thought he would lose his job after they were unable to progress from the group stage in Germany.
However, the Czech Football Federation have decided to keep faith with the man who guided the team to the semi-finals of Euro 2004.
Bruckner's next task is to secure qualification for the 2008 European Championships from a tough group which also contains Germany, Wales, Slovakia, the Republic of Ireland, Cyprus and San Marino.
