Italy coach Marcello Lippi thinks Francesco Totti will retire from international football after Sunday's World Cup Final.
The 29-year-old AS Roma star recently returned to action after breaking his ankle in February but played a key role in Tuesday's dramatic semi-final win against hosts Germany.
"As far as I am aware he has said that it is 90 per cent that he will quit (the Italy team)," confirmed Lippi.
"However, you have to always wait to find out what is going through people's hearts and minds before commenting."
Totti has struggled to prove his undoubted talent consistently on the international stage.
He was sent off for diving as Italy lost to South Korea in the second round of the 2002 World Cup, before his Euro 2004 campaign was cut short when he was suspended for spitting at Denmark's Christian Poulsen.
