New Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has admitted that he would like to sign Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo
The 21-year-old Portugal international has already admitted that he would welcome a move to the Bernabeu, even before his stock in England fell as a result of his part in Wayne Rooney's sending-off in the World Cup quarter-final.
Italian Capello, who has signed a three-year contract after joining Real from Juventus, said: "He is a Manchester United player.
"Everyone wants to come to play here and I think he really wants to and this is good news for me.
"We will have to wait and see, but at the moment I cannot say anything."
Ronaldo joined United in the summer of 2003 for £12.24million from Sporting Lisbon and has gone on to score 18 goals in 95 Premiership outings for the Red Devils.
