Janas names uncapped pair

Poland coach Pawel Janas has called Metallist Charkow defender Seweryn Gancarczyk and Legia Warsaw midfielder Grzegorz Bronowicki into his squad for the friendly against Lithuania on May 2.

The uncapped pair are named in an unfamiliar 16-man party, with Janas keen to take a closer look at some of his fringe players.

Queens Park Rangers defender Marcin Kus is among the players hoping to make a late run for the squad

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Jerzy Dudek (Liverpool), Lukasz Fabianski (Legia Warsaw).

Defenders: Marcin Kus (Queens Park Rangers), Mariusz Jop (FK Moskwa), Mariusz Lewandowski (Shakhtar Donietsk), Seweryn Gancarczyk (Metallist Charkow), Marcin Baszczynski (Wisla Krakow), Bartosz Bosacki (Lech Poznan).

Midfielders: Miroslaw Szymkowiak (Trabzonspor), Sebastian Mila (Austria Wieden), Kamil Kosowski (Southampton), Radoslaw Sobolewski (Wisla Krakow), Grzegorz Bronowicki (Legia Warsaw).

Forwards: Tomasz Frankowski (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Lukasz Sosin (Apollon Limassol), Grzegorz Rasiak (Southampton).
