Xavi Hernandez could make a dramatic return to the Spain squad after finally recovering from a serious knee injury.

The 26-year-old Barcelona midfielder tore the cruciate ligament in his right knee in training at the beginning of December.

But he has been named in the Barca squad for this weekend's home game against struggling Cadiz.

Xavi has won 33 caps for his country and is widely regarded to be one of the most creative players at coach Luis Aragones' disposal.
