Czech Republic striker Jan Koller finally made his return from a long-term knee injury to feature as a substitute in Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 win at Hannover 96.
The 33-year-old forward had been sidelined since late September, but is now hopeful of making his mark in the next couple of weeks and earning a place in his country's squad for the World Cup finals.
He told Borussia's official website: "I am obviously delighted to be able to play almost 20 minutes. That we won is very, very important for both me and the club.
"The coming weeks are very important for me.
"I need to get more match practice and I hope to add a few minutes to that at the weekend against Eintracht Frankfurt."
