Paraguay coach Anibal Ruiz insists he is not pleased about Wayne Rooney's injury.

As England's first opponents in Group B Paraguay stand to benefit from the Manchester United striker missing at least the early stages of the World Cup finals.

However, Ruiz said: "I cannot be happy for a player to be injured, no matter if he's one of our rivals.

"England has lost a very valuable player, no doubt about it."
