Argentina coach Jose Pekerman has hinted that his most experienced players are not guaranteed places in his World Cup squad.
Pekerman recently summoned 16 players to a get-together in Madrid and has indicated they will all make his final 23-man squad for Germany 2006.
Players not invited and now sweating on their participation at the finals include Javier Zanetti, Pablo Aimar, Martin Demichelis, Walter Samuel, Carlos Tevez, Diego Placente and Javier Mascherano.
"We won't satisfy everybody, neither players or fans," said Pekerman.
"We're focused on finding a team. We'll obviously give value to players, but we must decide according to what we need.
"The players are growing in confidence and achieving our goals. We're building up an excellent group."
