No place for Dudek

Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek has been left out of Poland's 23-man squad for this summer's World Cup finals in Germany after enduring a frustrating season at Anfield.

After being a penalty shoot-out hero in the dramatic Champions League Final success against AC Milan last May, Dudek lost his place to Jose Reina in the Reds goal this term and made only six appearances for the FA Cup winners.

However, Poland coach Pawel Janas has included West Brom shot-stopper Tomasz Kuszczak in his squad.

The full squad is:

Goalkeepers: Artur Boruc (Celtic), Lukasz Fabianski (Legia Warsaw), Tomasz Kuszczak (West Brom)

Defenders: Jacek Bak (Al Rayyan), Marcin Baszczynski (Wisla Cracow), Michal Zewlakow (Anderlech), Mariusz Jop (FC Moscow), Seweryn Gancarczyk (Metalist Kharkiv), Mariusz Lewandowski (Shakhtar Donetsk), Dariusz Dudka (Wisla Cracow)

Midfielders: Euzebiusz Smolarek (Dortmund), Kamil Kosowski (Kaiserslautern), Jacek Krzynowek (Bayer Leverkusen), Arkadiusz Radomski (Austria Vienna), Sebastian Mila (Austria Vienna), Miroslawa Szymkowiak (Trabzonspor), Piotr Giza (Cracow), Damian Gorawski (FC Moscow), Radoslaw Sobolewski (Wisla Cracow)

Forwards: Maciej Zurawski (Celtic), Grzegorz Rasiak (Southampton), Ireneusz Jelen (Wisla Plock), Pawel Brozek (Wisla Cracow).
