Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung is set to miss South Korea's World Cup warm-up game against Senegal because of an ankle complaint.

The 25-year-old suffered the injury during United's 0-0 draw against Middlesbrough on May 1 and has been unable to take part in the full training since.

Park is expected to resume training with the national team early next week, but will not be considered for selection for the friendly on May 23.

South Korea coach Dick Advocaat is expected to give some of his back-up players the chance to impress against Senegal.
