Pain no problem for Ljungberg

Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg is ready to play through the pain barrier in order to represent Sweden at the World Cup finals.

The 29-year-old has been struggling with a foot injury for the past few weeks but was determined not to miss the finale of the Gunners' Champions League campaign or Germany 2006.

"I am not worried at all. I have played with this injury for one-and-a-half months," said Ljungberg.

"It's hurting, but it has been an important end to the season and the World Cup is coming.

"It swells all the time. I need four weeks' rest but there is no time for that."
