Read Bill Borrows every day during the World Cup on 4thegame - you know it makes sense!
Poland's preparations for the World Cup finals have been disrupted by the enforced departure of Damian Gorawski from their squad.
The FC Moscow midfielder is suffering from a serious illness and has no chance of recovering in time to play any part in Germany.
Poland's team doctor Jerzy Grzywocz explained: "Tests have uncovered changes in his circulation and respiratory systems which leave no doubt.
"We cannot risk his health and life. We have sent the medical documentation to FIFA and when we receive confirmation, coach Paweł Janas will call up another player."
Janas has indicated that Lech Poznan's versatile defender Bartosz Bosacki will be the man to replace Gorawski.
