VfB Stuttgart have decided not to offer club captain Zvonimir Soldo a new contract.
The 38-year-old Croatia international defensive midfielder has been with Stuttgart for a decade since his arrival from Croatia Zagreb and has made nearly 300 Bundesliga appearances for the club.
However, his current deal runs out in the summer and sport director Horst Heldt has confirmed that no new offer is on the table.
He said: "Zvonimir Soldo will go down in the Stuttgart history books as one of the most successful players and one of the most important personalities the club has ever seen."
