Ecuador drew 1-1 with Colombia in New Jersey in their latest World Cup warm-up outing.
Segundo Castillo gave Ecuador the lead seven minutes into the second half, netting after an Edison Mendez corner, but a mistake by the defender soon after allowed Alkin Soto to equalise.
Castillo said afterwards: "Colombia are a great team and it is very important for us to play games like this to prepare us for the World Cup.
"I'm very happy with the goal that I scored, but I'm much more happy with the performance of the team.
"But we have to work a lot to correct the mistakes."
