Ukraine captain Andriy Shevchenko has postponed a decision about whether he is to stay at AC Milan until Friday.
The 29-year-old recently admitted he was keen to move on this summer, prompting the Rossoneri to offer him an improved contract running until 2011.
However, his wife is believed to be keen to move to London, where Chelsea are willing to spend £30million to secure his signature.
Shevchenko was expected to meet with Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani on Thursday to discuss his future, but the meeting has been put back 24 hours.
"I cannot say anything yet - first I have to speak to Galliani," explained the prolific striker, after emerging from a three-hour treatment session on the knee injury which is threatening to keep him out of the World Cup finals.
"I will not meet Galliani today - perhaps tomorrow and maybe in the evening."
