Paraguay were held to a 1-1 draw by Denmark in a World Cup warm-up match in Aarhus on Saturday.
The South American side, who will be England's first opponents in Germany, took the lead after 20 minutes when Jose Cardozo took advantage of an error by Thomas Helveg to net.
Denmark enjoyed the better of the game from that point on, but poor finishing prevented them equalising until six minutes after the break, when Jon Dahl Tomasson hit the target.
Paraguay hung on to secure a draw and coach Anibal Ruiz was pleased with their battling display.
"Matches like this are very good for us because Denmark have the same style of play as the English team, who are also physical and aggressive," said Ruiz.
