Switzerland coach Kobi Kuhn saw plenty of reasons to be positive after his side drew 1-1 with Italy in a World Cup warm-up game in Geneva on Wednesday.
The hosts fell behind to an 11th-minute Alberto Gilardino strike, but fought back to secure a draw with a 32nd-minute goal from Daniel Gygax.
Kuhn's men also drew 1-1 in a friendly against Ivory Coast last weekend, but the coach thought his side had improved markedly since then.
"We've given ourselves a very hard week, with China still to play this Saturday, but I am very satisfied with this performance," he said.
"Compared to the game against Ivory Coast, I thought the players had improved in all the areas I asked them to.
"They were more concentrated and lost the ball a lot less, even though they were playing against a stronger side."
Switzerland get their World Cup campaign underway against France on June 13 and will also take on Togo and South Korea in Group G.
