Sweden midfielder Kim Kallstrom will join French champions Lyon after the World Cup finals.
The 23-year-old has signed a four-year contract at Stade Gerland after Lyon agreed to pay Ligue 1 rivals Rennes £5.5million for his services.
Kallstrom joined Rennes from Swedish side Djurgardens in 2003 and was one of the standout performers in French football last season.
His displays secured his place in Sweden's squad for Germany 2006 and prompted interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs, with Lyon just pipping Scottish giants Rangers to his signature.
