Trinidad and Tobago coach Leo Beenhakker is confident Marvin Andrews will be fit for the World Cup.

The 32-year-old Rangers star was injured in the recent 2-1 defeat to Wales and was forced to sit out the 3-1 loss to Slovenia on Wednesday.

However, Beenhakker said: "Marvin has been in full training with us and his knee is fine. He is very strong and I have no doubts about him for the World Cup.

"I think everyone knows the story about Marvin and his cruciate injury, especially in Scotland.

"But he turned out in every World Cup qualifying game for us and he played in the last three games of the season at Rangers.

"He was hurt in training in Austria last week but it was only a minor knock.

"I did not play him against Slovenia because I wanted to give someone else a chance."
