Trinidad & Tobago were beaten 3-0 by the Czech Republic in their latest World Cup warm-up game, but skipper Dwight Yorke says his side have a potential star in their ranks.
Port Vale midfielder Chris Birchall has impressed since joining the Soca Warriors set-up and Yorke is more than impressed by his new team-mate.
He said: "At the time he joined the team he was the odd guy out, but we all welcomed him with open arms and he's been very much a key player for our team.
"I must admit I didn't know about Chris earlier on, but all credit goes to him. He's come in and done a fantastic job and has become an influential player for us.
"Chris is a fantastic bloke, he takes everything in his stride. We are very lucky we have someone as passionate as him and he brings something different."
