Beenhakker names squad

Trinidad & Tobago boss Leo Beenhakker has named a provisional 24-man squad for the World Cup.

The Soca Warriors have a friendly against Peru scheduled for May 10, after which Beenhakker will have to decide who the unlucky player to miss out on the 23-man party for the finals will be.

The Dutch coach has also named seven stand-by players in case of injuries.

Trinidad & Tobago have been drawn alongside England, Sweden and Paraguay in Group B after qualifying for the World Cup for the first time.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Kelvin Jack (Dundee), Shaka Hislop (West Ham United), Clayton Ince (Coventry City).

Defenders: Dennis Lawrence (Wrexham), Cyd Gray (San Juan Jabloteh), Marvin Andrews (Rangers), Brent Sancho (Gillingham), Ian Cox (Gillingham), Atiba Charles (W Connection), Avery John (New England Revolution).

Midfielders: Silvio Spann (unattached), Chris Birchall (Port Vale), Aurtis Whitley (San Juan Jabloteh), Anthony Rougier (Petrotrin), Anthony Wolfe (San Juan Jabloteh), Densill Theobald (Falkirk), Carlos Edwards (Luton Town).
