Mexico goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez believes his side can go all the way and win the World Cup this summer.
The 31-year-old Chivas star is aware that Mexico are not among the tournament favourites but thinks that could work in his side's favour.
"We've got a terrific squad with some very high-quality players and we're capable of anything," he said.
"We really believe we can become world champions and we're working towards that.
"There's also an excellent atmosphere in the Mexican camp. We all get on very well and that's very important if you want to achieve things.
"We shouldn't underestimate anyone, though. We've got some tough opponents in the first round, and we have to take each game as it comes. There'll be plenty of time to think about the rest later."
Sanchez has been named captain of the national side by coach Ricardo La Volpe in recognition of his recent international form.
