Van Basten's injury headache

Read Bill Borrows every day during the World Cup on 4thegame - you know it makes sense!

Holland coach Marco van Basten has refused to criticise Australia for their robust approach to the recent warm-up clash between the two sides.
The match ended 1-1, but van Basten was more concerned with the three players who picked up injuries in the bad-tempered clash.
Rafael van der Vaart missed the game with an injured ankle while Wesley Sneijder, Phillip Cocu and Giovanni van Bronckhorst all picked up knocks in the draw.
"It is more enriching to play a game like that but unfortunately we had three players injured," van Basten said. "I hope it's not too serious.
"Wesley Sneijder has injured his right ankle. He took a bad knock which really hurt him. We will have to wait over the next 48 hours to see how serious his injury is.
"I cannot even say if he will be fit for the start of the World Cup.
"Phillip Cocu was the victim of a direct knock to the thigh and Giovanni van Bronckhorst has aggravated a calf problem. In these last two cases they don't seem to be too serious. But, again, I prefer to wait before making any definite assumptions."
