Deco is facing an anxious wait to discover whether he will be fit to play in Portugal's World Cup opener against Angola in Cologne on Sunday.

The Barcelona playmaker limped out of training on Friday morning after injuring his left foot in a challenge with Costinha.

Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is desperate for Deco to play and will give the 28-year-old as much time as possible to recover before naming his starting line-up.

Portugal will also take on Iran and Mexico as they attempt to progress from Group D.
