FIFA have ruled that Toulouse midfielder Nabil Taider will not be able to play for Tunisia at the World Cup finals.

The 22-year-old was born in France and represented Les Bleus at junior level.

Taider also qualifies for Tunisian citizenship through his parents and had hoped to change his footballing nationality.

However, FIFA rejected Taider's application on the grounds that he is too old to make the switch.
