Czech Republic striker Milan Baros faces a late fitness test to see if he will be fit enough to take part in Monday's Group E clash against the USA.
The Aston Villa forward has been struggling with a foot injury and, although he has returned to training, he remains a major doubt for the Czech's opening match.
"I don't know, our doctors don't know. I don't want to put (the chance he will be fit) as a percentage," said coach Karel Bruckner.
"If the player is not 100 per cent fit, we will not risk his health.
"(In case he misses the game), I am 100 per cent decided about his substitution."
Of his side's opening match in the tournament, Bruckner added: "People call us favourites in the match against the USA, but I don't really see it that way.
"The American team is very strong with many of the same players that did so well in the last World Cup back in 2002.
"They are very tough physically and technically and they will be well prepared after playing many friendlies. They have every reason to be confident."
