Job fears for Guimaraes

Read Bill Borrows every day during the World Cup on 4thegame - you know it makes sense!
Costa Rica coach Alexandre Guimaraes admitted that his time in charge of Los Ticos may be about to come to an abrupt end after their dismal showing at the World Cup finals.
Guimaraes' side lost all three games in Group A to leave the coach's position in danger, after six years in charge of the national team.
"We're going to take a couple of days to analyse things," Guimaraes commented.
"I'll discuss it with my soccer federation president too. At the end of this month, at the latest, we'll be defining the possibilities to continue this project with Costa Rica or not.
"I think the younger players responded quite well. That's a good omen for the future.
"There is no doubt they need some international experience and that would give us an opportunity for the future."
"Now, one generation has concluded their international careers. They got us to the World Cup twice.
"What you have to do is work with a new group and a lot of time is needed. A lot of things have to change."
