Sweden coach Lars Lagerback expects Zlatan Ibrahimovic to be fit to face Germany on Saturday, but is still to decide whether to hand the Juventus striker a starting role.

Ibrahimovic was forced to watch Tuesday's 2-2 draw against England from the stands because of a groin injury and saw his replacement Marcus Allback net Sweden's first goal.

"He (Ibrahimovic) practiced on Wednesday and it was positive," explained Lagerback.

"It is going in the right direction. We have to wait and see. It's one thing to do a practice for 65 minutes and another to play a match. We have to see, but we're hopeful."

Lagerback admitted it would be difficult to drop Allback after his hard-working display against England.

The coach added: "He's playing very well, as he always does. He linked well with the midfield and forwards."
