Injury-plagued striker who has been touted as the most naturally gifted player ever to emerge from Angola. Mantorras' talent was spotted early on and he left Angola bound for Portugal before he had even made an appearance in the country's top-flight. After a brief spell with Alverca he was snapped up by Benfica from under the noses of Barcelona and netted 13 goals in his first season in the spotlight. However, his progress came to a shuddering halt after suffering a serious knee injury and it was only in January this year that the 24-year-old successfully made his comeback. Despite a recent fall out with current coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves, he is back in the international fold and will be champing at the bit to impress.
