Well-travelled midfielder who is a key member of Luis Oliveira Goncalves' side. The 27-year-old currently plays his club football in Kuwait but after spells with five clubs in Portugal and two in Turkey he has plenty of experience of top-level football. Andre showed his importance to Angola by featuring in all but one of their qualifying games for Germany 2006 and as one of the most effective tacklers in the squad he is best employed as a defensive midfielder. Andre is a vital cog in the Angola machine and one who will need to be at his best if the national team are to make any impact during their first ever World Cup finals.
