Oscar Ustari was a surprise choice as Argentina's third goalkeeper for Germany 2006. The 19-year-old is uncapped at senior level, but has enjoyed a good run of form for Independiente. Although he lacks experience at full international level, Ustari knows plenty about participating in major tournaments. He was a key member of the side at the 2003 FIFA World Under-17 Championship, when he made two saves in a penalty shootout against Colombia as Argentina won the third-place play-off. Two years later he played in every game as the Lionel Messi inspired Albiceleste won the FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands.
