Covic has moved into pole position to be the third-choice goalkeeper in Germany, having impressed in Sweden with Hammarby. A relative latecomer to the international arena, Covic only made his Socceroos debut in February against Bahrain. Has previously played in Greece with PAOK Saloniki and AO Kavala and in Croatia for Dinamo Zagreb. Covic has been with Hammarby for the last four years and has helped establish the Stockholm club as regulars in the Swedish first division.
