An adaptable midfielder, Culina benefits from playing under Socceroos coach Guus Hiddink at PSV Eindhoven. He was tipped for the top after making his NSL debut at the age of 16, but he failed to make his mark after joining Dutch giants Ajax. He was loaned out to De Graafschap as well as GBA in Belgium, before making a permanent switch to Twente in the summer of 2004. Impressed during his one season at the Arke Stadion and was snapped up by PSV just after the start of the season just ended. Made his international debut in February 2005 against South Africa and is clearly a Hiddink favourite.
