Experienced midfielder who started his career as a striker, Sterjovski currently plies his trade with Swiss champions FC Basel. Made his international debut in November 2000 in a 2-0 friendly win against Scotland and has a hat-trick for the Socceroos to his name, netting a treble in a 9-0 win over Tahiti in May 2004. Blessed with terrific pace, Sterjovski is often employed in a wide midfield role to utilise his main asset. Started his career in Europe with French side Lille in the summer of 2000, opting to move on four years later to join Basel.
