Left-sided and full of pace, Chipperfield is one of the unsung heroes of the Socceroos side. The 30-year-old made his name at Wollongong Wolves, before securing a move to FC Basel in 2001, where he has helped his club to become the powerhouse of Swiss football. Chipperfield made his international bow in September 1998 in a 3-1 win over Fiji and has been a regular for Australia ever since, contributing goals at a rate of one every four games. Has plenty of experience of European competition from his time with Basel.
