Big, powerful striker who made his name in helping Monaco reach the Champions League final a couple of years ago and who has emerged as the rightful successor to the likes of Davor Suker and Alen Boksic. Something of a late developer, Prso made his international debut at the age of 28, scoring in a 4-0 win over Belgium in March 2003. Failed to find the net at Euro 2004, but goes to Germany full of confidence after a productive second season in Scotland with Rangers. Offers a strong physical presence and is a perfect foil to the speedy Ivan Klasnic, scoring goals at a rate of one every three games for Croatia himself.
