One of Europe's best attacking full-backs, Marek Jankulovski will be a key player for the Czech Republic at both ends of the field in Germany. He began his career with Banik Ostrava in his homeland, where his composed defending and ability to chip in with important goals persuaded Napoli to take him to Italy in 2000. A transfer to Udinese followed in 2002 and, after he played an important role in the Bianconeri's fourth-placed finish in Serie A last season, Jankulovski secured a dream move to AC Milan. He has been a regular for the national team since his debut in a 2-1 win against Mexico in February 2000, appearing at both Euro 2000 and Euro 2004.
