Ecuador's main midfield general, Tenorio is the hub of his country's attacking play even if he lacks the pace to get on the end of many of the moves he initiates. Made his international debut in October 1998 against Brazil and played in two of Ecuador's three matches in Japan and South Korea four years ago. A regular throughout qualifying this time around, Tenorio currently plays his club football for Barcelona, having earlier made his name with Aucas.
