A key player for Ecuador with a mountain of experience and well over 100 international caps to his name. Hurtado, 31, made his debut for Ecuador way back in 1992 against Guatemala and has become one of the rocks of his country's improved performances on the international stage. Played in all three games at the World Cup finals four years ago, impressing with his calm and assured nature, excellent reading of the game and enough aerial strength to get by. Currently plays his club football in Qatar with Al Arabi, having starred in his homeland for Emelec, La Piedad and Barcelona. Has spent much of his time in Mexico, having enjoyed spells with Atletico Celaya, Tigres UANL and Pachuca.
