Twenty-year-old Valencia is the brightest young star in the Ecuador squad and has already left South America to try his luck in Europe. He signed for Spanish side Villarreal a year ago, but spent last season out on loan at second division Recreativo Huelva. Blessed with pace and excellent ball control, Valencia can fit in anywhere in midfield and gives his side a much-needed creative edge. Made his name with El Nacional and will be hoping to impress enough to earn a first-team chance with Villarreal for next term.
