The versatile AS Monaco defender is happy playing at either left-back or in central defence. The 24-year-old has spent his entire career with the club having coming through the youth team ranks and has also represented his country at various age group levels. Givet was part of the French side that won the European Under-18 Championships in 2000 and made his senior debut against Bosnia-Herzegovina in August 2004. Givet also played a key role in Monaco's run to the Champions League Final two years and was a member of the side that lost to FC Porto.
