The 26-year-old striker has spent the last decade with Lyon and represented his country at junior level before making his senior debut in a 1-1 draw against Tunisia four years ago. He has been a regular member of the international squad but is usually used from the substitute's bench. He took his chance to impress when Steve Marlet left Lyon in 2001 and formed a lethal strike partnership with Sonny Anderson. He has also been used on the right wing by his club to less effect as Lyon have dominated domestically in the last five years. A late call-up due to Djibril Cisse's leg injury.
