The veteran Lyon striker has enjoyed one of his best ever seasons, helping Gerard Houllier's side reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League. He played for Rennes, Deportivo La Coruna and Bordeaux before moving to Arsenal in a £13million deal six years ago. He spent four years with the Gunners after making his name by scoring the equaliser in the Euro 2000 Final victory against Italy. Left Arsene Wenger's side after growing frustrated with his lack of first-team starts but has enjoyed a renaissance at Lyon in the last two years. He was Ligue 1's top goalscorer in 1999 during his time at Bordeaux.
