The surprise selection by coach Jurgen Klinsmann, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Odonkor was uncapped when called up for the glory mission on home soil. Preferred to experienced Schalke schemer Fabian Ernst, 22-year-old Odonkor will be looking to make the most of a shock chance to shine. Blessed with terrific pace, Odonkor offers an attacking option from midfield and can also play on either flank or in attack if needed. An Under-21 international, Klinsmann says he has been keeping Odonkor under wraps especially for the World Cup finals.
